Noosa Chorale presents “Popera” – a musical treat in two parts – with opera choruses to send your spirits soaring, followed by pop songs to set your ear worms a-humming.
Choruses from the operas of Verdi, Wagner, Tchaikovsky, and Mascagni evoke all the drama, tragedy and joy of some of the finest works in the opera repertoire.
The second half of the concert brings a delightful change of gear, with well-loved favourites from the sixties on wards – Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons to the Mamas and the Papas, the Beatles, and Abba.
The Chorale will be joined by a live band on this nostalgic pop-ride that will have you tapping your toes all the way home
