DESCRIPTION:GALA CONCERT: Noosa Music Society 2019 Young Pianist Awards\n\nThe Noosa Music Society is excited to announce the launch of the Noosa Music Society 2019 Young Pianist Awards with over $7\,000 offered in prize money.\n\nThe Society is delighted to confirm that this competition is now open and the finalists will be invited to perform at a Gala Concert where the winners will be announced and the prizes awarded.\n\nThe Gala will showcase the very best of the next generation of talented pianists. Each will dazzle the audience as they compete for the prizes.\n\nThe Society has a 30-year record of showcasing world class musicians in Noosa and their committee has created these awards to encourage and recognise the next generation of pianists at a national\, state and local level.\n\nNoosa Music Society National First Prize of $4\,500\, for pianists aged 27 and under\, will be awarded to one outstanding young Australian musician.\n\nFriends of  the Society Queensland State Prize of $1\,500\, for pianists aged 21 and under will be awarded to one outstanding Queensland Musician.\n\nBelle Property Sunshine Coast Local Prize of $1\,000\, for pianists aged 17 and under\, will be awarded to one outstanding local Sunshine Coast pianist.\n\nThe competition is inclusive of all styles of pianists. There are no restrictions on the genre or period of piano repertoire – classical\, experimental\, jazz\, pop\, film music etc.\n\nRecitals will be judged on musicality rather than the degree of difficulty of the works presented.\n\nIf you are interested in entering into the competition or becoming  a “Friend of the Noosa Music Society” and wish to support the next generation of young performers please visit our website at www.noosamusic.org\n\n Venue: Good Shepherd Lutheran College\n\nDuration: 1 hour and 30 minutes with intermission\n\nDate:\nSunday 8 December 2019 @ 3.30pm\n\nTicket Prices:\n$47.50 Premium | $35 Adult | $25 Concession (Pensioner\, Senior) | $15 Student\n\nBUY TICKETS
