Description
Boreen Point is a laid back small town just north of Noosa, which is nestled against the backdrop of Lake Cootharaba.
Lake Cootharaba is a very large, shallow lake that is recognised nationally for its fantastic weather for sailing and windsurfing. The lake leads from the Noosa River and also up to the Great Sandy national parks, and the beautiful everglades where you will find the historic Harrys Hut.
Boreen Point is also home to the Apollonian Hotel, renowned for its Sunday roast. The Apollonian is an historic inn that was moved from Gympie, Queensland and rebuilt in Boreen Point.
So visit Boreen point either by boat and moor up and enjoy the laid back feel or by car. Enjoy a day relaxing by beautiful Lake Cootharaba, or take part in some windsurfing canoeing or boating.
