The Majestic Theatre was built in 1921 and caters for all types of community events. It has gained recognition as the world’s only authentic silent picture house still in operation today. Although the Majestic Theatre was recently refurbished, its floor plan and design still illustrates the characteristics of a small rural picture theatre that has been adapted from a local hall. These characteristics include the hall’s original retail spaces and the supper room section.

The Majestic Theatre is home to Cinema Pomona, screening art house films every second Tuesday, as well as a programme of silent movies and live entertainment. It also has the capacity to host events to suits all ages and tastes.
