Noosa The Jewel of the Sunshine Coast

Noosa is unique and one of the most special places in the world set on the Sunshine Coast in QLD Australia. With its enviable year round temperate climate, beautiful beaches, stunning coastal national park, pristine river, cosmopolitan lifestyle and lively calendar of events, Noosa is a great place to visit or to live.

Located just 140kms north of Brisbane, and less than 200kms south of the Great Barrier Reef, Noosa is an ideal location for you to enjoy and explore Queensland.

Holidaying or living in Noosa is all about surf, sunshine and lifestyle and often tops the list of one of the most cosmopolitan resort areas in Australia with its world-renowned stylish but at the same time laid-back feel.

At the heart of Noosa is the main strip of Hastings Street offering great al fresco dining and boutique shopping, with a backdrop of the beautiful North facing Noosa Beach. Hastings Street also backs on to the stunning coastal national park, which covers an area of more than 4,000 hectares of Pandanus, and Banksia and is filled with local wildlife including resident Koalas.

To preserve its stunning natural beauty in 2008 Noosa was designated as the first Biosphere Reserve in the state of Queensland, covering a total area of 150,000 hectares and 3 Kilometers offshore.

The Noosa region is made up of several smaller towns and areas including: Noosaville, Sunshine Beach, Peregian Beach, Coolum Beach, Tewantin, Gympie Terrace, and the country town of Cooroy. Each is different having its own particular feel but all still encapsulating the overall style of Noosa.

Noosa is also great base from which to discover a lot more of Queensland, including Fraser Island, Harvey Bay for whale watching, and the lush hinterland with its market towns such as Eumundi, Maleny, Montville and Pomona.

Often not mentioned is that Noosa is only a short distance from the Sunshine Coast airport with flights from some major cites within Australia, so you can fly in direct from Sydney and drive into paradise in less than 30 minutes.

All this adds up to make Noosa unique and one of the most special places in the world…..so enjoy the pelicans on the river, beautiful sunsets, take a canoe through the shallow lakes and swim off the pristine beaches of Tea tree or Granite bay, what ever you do make sure enjoy your time in a very special place.
