Lake Macdonald is the setting for the annual Operatif performance in the stunning Greek-style amphitheatre, located in Noosa Botanic Gardens. It provides a magnificent setting for the annual outdoor opera concert on the Sunshine Coast.

Having performed as the opening event for Ida Duncan and the Noosa Council back in the mid 90s, Operatif has a special connection with this unique venue.

You can enjoy a picnic in the gardens before taking your seats for an afternoon of the best of Opera & Song. There is seating within the theatre but as construction is brick, a low cushion or picnic blanket is recommended.

A marvellous selection of greats from the realms of popular opera, musicals and Italian song await you.

Clear, well organised, wet weather plans are always in place and printed instructions, including directions to the wet weather alternative venue are provided with tickets. No matter the weather, ‘the show will go on!’
